Food University creator and executive producer Richard Gore helped originate the world of culinary entertainment. In a career that spanned more than 25 years, he’s been involved in all facets of the entertainment industry, including music, motion picture and live events.
Gore is recognized as one of pioneers of celebrity chef tours, launching what became known as the immensely popular Food Network Live. His partnership with Food Network led to his appointment as the network’s President of Live Events. Under Gore’s direction, Food Network Live grew into a 20-city tour that was spotlighted in two highly rated Primetime TV specials.
Gore has since embarked on creating his own new culinary successes that have showcased many of today’s top food personalities and upcoming stars including Guy Fieri, Duff Goldman, Iron Chef Morimoto, Alton Brown, Jacques Pepin, Lidia Bastianich and others. Now with Food University, Gore has assembled a meaningful core group of “culinary missionaries”. Their message is one which enables everyone to become more in sync with the food and wines around them.
Richard Gore holds a BBA in Marketing from Pace University. He is a father of two daughters and lives with his wife of 30 years in a suburb of New York City.
